Project Overview
Over an Entrepreneurship Start-Up Weekend, design and develop a product fully researching the requirements to make that product a reality, then pitch the product and findings to a panel of judges.
The Process
After 60-second elevator pitches, a team was formed around the mobile application concept Pill Planter by Hannah O’Steen. Pill Planter is a reminder app that creates a fun and rewarding experience for young adults who struggle with remembering to take their medication. We began by creating a business model canvas fully researching our production partners, resources, costs, and customers. As a team, we completed demographic research through online surveys as well as in-person interviews. As a team, we also worked through the finances of how our product would earn income and when we would break even after starting up costs.

After completing our research and analysis we pitched our idea to a panel of judges with the following presentation. Our project received second place for the Start-Up Weekend.
