Brainstorm and research a concept to present as an explainer video to help a viewer better understand the concept.
The Process
My partner and I began this assignment by researching concepts that can benefit from being presented by an explainer video. We chose to explain the differences and similarities between APA and MLA formatting styles for writing papers as it is a topic many students utilize and can be confusing to work through.
We began this assignment by researching into APA and MLA formatting and writing and recording a script. We created a full black and white storyboard and created an animatic before continuing on working on the final version.
After our black and white animatic, we continued to develop the visual style with a full color storyboard. Our visual style from the video tied into our paper writing concept as we used different paper textures, and printing halftone patterns and photograph images.
